International Woman's Day 2025

On International Women's Day 2025, I send a greeting both to the women who make our clothing and the women who buy and wear it. I salute you for your hard work, skill, artistry and love of life. Women around the world accomplish so many projects to make everyone's lives better, happier and more colorful! ~ Mieko
This is Laleeta, one of our skilled artisans in India.

She, along with a group of 400 women, brings Mieko Mintz designs to life. These women continue the beautiful ancient practice of Kantha among other traditional techniques. Their artistry and hard work are integral parts of our company.
This is Janice on the Upper West Side.

Janice Tannin is an enthusiastic long-time Mieko Mintz customer, who also models for us. She and her husband live in a beautiful neighborhood of Manhattan's Upper West Side.
She says, "Mieko's unique and colorful designs have brought a vibrancy into the neutral palette of my New York wardrobe." Here, she is wearing a Mieko Mintz Kimono Long Jacket.
Janice is a passionate, creative self-taught chef with a background in studio art, which means her food is both delicious and visually appealing. So she appreciates Mieko's clothing for being both beautiful and functional.

Here, Janice wears our WAVY TUCK BAND COLLAR SHRT with a Ghanaian apron— a gift from her daughter's travels— while she prepares a winter vegetable stew.
Janice caters events and teaches cooking privately in people's homes.
