Suzanne's Review of Mieko Mintz Clothing

My shorthand for the pieces I have been fortunate to purchase from Mieko Mintz is “never fail clothes.”  The shrugs, vest, hats, pieces of jewelry never fail to make me feel I am wearing exactly what I should be wearing, no matter where I am.  They provoke great reviews from friends and family. They launch conversations with strangers on the street who ask: “Where did you get that terrific jacket?”  

Before finding this line of clothing (at a pop up at A Uno in New York City), I was very satisfied with my wardrobe; but Mieko Mintz took everything to a new level.  I learned I could wear wonderfully patterned clothing and intense colors (before, my closet was filled with lots of black and if there was color, it was solid and very subtle).  Mieko Mintz pieces gave me a new look. It brought life to existing clothes in my collection, letting me create an array of new combinations.  Most importantly, Mieko Mintz gave me an exciting way of packing for trips to Europe and Mexico.  With those jackets, jewelry, and hats as the cornerstones, I can quickly build a travel wardrobe that fits into my carry on.  When I arrive at my destination, I also know exactly what to wear for formal and casual events. I can focus on enjoying my travels with no fussing over what to wear.
